We are excited to announce the official launch of Heat Pump Week, which was inaugurated at the Heat Pump Summit in April 2024. The event received an exceptionally warm welcome from delegates, including C-suite professionals from the heat pump and clean energy sectors, as well as representatives from the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) and local authorities.

Campaign Objectives

Heat Pump Week, set to take place from 23-29 September 2024, aims to unite the heat pump community and engage the government in highlighting the importance of heat pumps in the energy transition. The primary objectives of the campaign are to:

  1. Raise Awareness: Educate consumers and businesses about the benefits of heat pumps, reducing home heating emissions, which account for around 18% of all greenhouse gas emissions in the UK.
  2. Improve Understanding: Enhance knowledge about how heat pumps work and their role in achieving net zero carbon emissions.
  3. Encourage Adoption: Motivate both consumers and businesses to embrace heat pumps as a sustainable heating solution, thereby ensuring a greener future for all.

Warm Welcome at the Summit

The launch at the Heat Pump Summit was met with enthusiasm and support. Delegates appreciated the focus on sustainable heating solutions and the comprehensive approach to promoting heat pump technology. The presence of key industry leaders, government officials, and local authorities underscored the importance of collaborative efforts in driving the campaign's success.

We look forward to a successful Heat Pump Week filled with engaging activities, insightful discussions, and impactful initiatives. Stay tuned for more updates and join us in celebrating and promoting sustainable heating solutions this September.
